Happy Sunday!

First let me apologize for today’s abbreviated newsletter. I thought about missing a week, but decided that a short update is better than none. So this week I’ve felt like I was falling apart. Came down with a cold that knocked me out. Then I had something going on with my left knee, and my right heel has been killing me because I have plantar fasciitis which is causing me to walk like I’m 95 years old. Anyway, I’m on the mend but because of it, I didn’t have time to work on the newsletter.

During the time I’ve been sick, I still kept trying to do things around the house, help other people, help with the baby, and all kinds of other things. What I really needed to do was get in bed and stay there. And on Friday, that’s what I finally did. I took some medicine that knocked me out, slept a lot, and by yesterday was feeling much better.

So today I just wanted to encourage you to take care of yourself. If you’re not feeling well or you’re about to collapse from exhaustion, take some things off your plate and say no. Now I realize that’s not always easy to do when you have kids, or parents, or other people who rely on you for care, but if you don’t take the time for yourself then you won’t be able to take care of anyone else.

And don’t be afraid to ask for help. I am someone who has a very hard time with this, and many of my friends do as well. But I promise you, if you ask, your friends and/or family members can help you. Run errands, entertain the kids so you can sleep for a couple hours, anything that can make your day or week feel lighter. As my friend Colette always says, “a closed mouth don’t get fed.” Ask.

Have a great week!

Positively yours,

Pebbles 💜
